ZED GmbH Offers Digital UV Ballasts and Sensors

ZED Ziegler Electronic Devices GmbH, Ilmenau, Germany, offers high efficiency, easy to install and space-saving solutions for UV-systems.

The fourfold device E4x300PHplus-R powers four 320W lamps and provides independent lamp operation. Optimal lamp lifetime is ensured through the adjustable built-in preheat feature. A cable length of up to 30m ensures high flexibility in system design. ZED-guaranteed enhanced protection includes power range control, undervoltage and overtemperature protection, as well as fault detection, ensuring optimal lifetime of lamps and electronics. The ballast is finely tuned to fit individual lamp parameters perfectly. Integrated dimming allows saving energy while retaining required UV levels.

ZED ballasts are also available in a wide range of lamp specifications, including 1200W and multiple 600W solutions. ZED‘s portfolio includes digital UV- and temperature sensors using the same RS485 bus system as the ballasts. Pre-programmed control units are available ready to connect to higher order systems.
