IUVA Hosts World Congress 2025 in Lisbon, Portugal, Issues Call for Papers

The International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA) has announced that the 2025 IUVA World Congress will take place September 7-10, 2025, at the Lisbon Marriott Hotel in Lisbon, Portugal.

With increasing challenges in air and surface disinfection, including the rise of emerging infectious diseases, drinking water safety, water reuse, wastewater treatment, air pollution, hospital-acquired infections, ballast water treatment and industrial effluents, UV technologies rapidly are finding new applications. This conference will spotlight the latest advancements in UV technology and research, tackling today’s critical environmental, health and process treatment issues. Additionally, the event will explore trends in UV regulations and emerging applications, including how UV disinfection can support more efficient water use where water reuse is critical to sustainable operations.

The abstract length is 200-300 words (no figures) and should include full contact information for the corresponding author. After the authors are notified of acceptance, they will be required to submit a document for the proceedings
