Violumas, Fremont, California, a provider of high-power UV LED solutions and inventor of 3-PAD LED technology, has released its next-generation 255 nm, 265 nm and 275 nm LEDs in both SMD and COB configurations.
The radiant flux of the new 275 nm and 265 nm LEDs has increased by 10-30% from the previous generation, to achieve 65 mW (255 nm), 130 mW (265 nm) and 145 mW (275 nm) in compact, single-emitter packages of 5.2 mm x 5.2 mm.
The new UV-C LEDs are also available in 4-LED, 9-LED and 16-LED chip-on-board (COB) configurations and provide unrivaled levels of power for any UV-C application. Each LED is encapsulated with a single, high-transmission fused silica lens that allows for long-term, stable performance over time. A selection of 30°, 60°, 90°, 120° and 135° optics is available to accommodate a wide variety of UV-C applications.
These next-generation LEDs are also featured in Violumas’ ultra narrow beam LED, the VioBeam-1X1, which features a unique 10 deg fused silica optic for far-field and focused illumination.
The integrated thermal structure (3-PAD) in every Violumas LED achieves for industry-leading thermal resistance values, which is critical for more reliable, compact and long-lasting UV-C LED systems. It also allows Violumas UV-C LEDs to withstand a nominal driving current of 700 mA per LED chip, at which the LED maintains >70% of its original intensity after 10,000 hours of continuous operation.
