IUVA, Chevy Chase, Maryland, after receiving a record-breaking number of abstract submissions, is pleased to announce a draft of the technical program for the 2026 Americas Conference taking place October 5-7 at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The conference will bring together researchers, engineers, utilities, technology developers, public health experts and end users to explore how ultraviolet technologies are moving from promising research and pilot projects into scalable, reliable and economically viable solutions.

More than a presentation of research findings, the conference will provide a forum for the conversations that determine whether promising technologies succeed beyond the laboratory. Attendees will have opportunities to connect across disciplines, challenge assumptions and help define the next stage of UV innovation and deployment.

For professionals working in ultraviolet research, product development, water treatment, public health, building safety or technology implementation, Halifax will be the place to understand what is coming next and help shape it.

As a reminder, the 2026 IUVA Americas Conference will have a special poster session for students and trainees and is accepting abstracts until August 15! Graduate students, postdocs, research assistants and interns are encouraged to apply.
