The International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA), Chevy Chase, Maryland, invites researchers, practitioners and innovators to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations at the 2026 IUVA Americas Conference, to be held October 5–7, 2026, at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The conference will convene global leaders advancing UV technologies that protect public health, improve environmental outcomes and address emerging regulatory challenges.
Program topics will highlight advances in UV technology across all aspects of health and safety, including drinking water treatment, reuse water and wastewater treatment, air pollution, hospital infections, air and surface disinfection, wetted-surface fouling control, invasive species control, PFAS, treatment of industrial effluents, and regulatory issues.
Abstracts must be scientific and technical in nature and should be submitted online by May 15, 2026. The abstract length is 200-300 words (no figures) and must include full contact information for the corresponding author. After the authors are notified of acceptance, they will be required to submit a copy of the presentation slides for the proceedings. Abstracts accepted for oral presentation will include a 15-20 minute presentation followed by 5 minutes of discussion.
