IUVA announced that registration and hotel reservations now are open for the 2025 IUVA World Congress, taking place September 7-10, 2025, at the Lisbon Marriott Hotel in Lisbon, Portugal. The IUVA World Congress is the biennial, global event for the UV disinfection and sterilization industry with 200+ attendees from over 20 countries.
With increasing challenges in air and surface disinfection, including the rise of emerging infectious diseases, drinking water safety, water reuse, wastewater treatment, air pollution, hospital-acquired infections, ballast water treatment and industrial effluents, UV technologies are rapidly finding new applications. This conference will spotlight the latest advancements in UV technology and research, tackling today’s critical environmental, health and process treatment issues. Additionally, the event will explore trends in UV regulations and emerging applications, including how UV disinfection can support more efficient water use where water reuse is critical to sustainable operations.
With a record number of abstracts submitted, this year’s Congress will be the most expansive gathering yet – bringing together global experts, innovators and practitioners advancing ultraviolet (UV) technology for water reuse, public health, emerging contaminants and sustainable development.
Programming in Lisbon will focus on several areas of application for UV technologies:
