A webinar on January 19, 2022, at 10 a.m.-noon Eastern Time (United States and Canada), will introduce the potential for UV to play a role in water treatment in low- and middle-income countries and support meeting UN Sustainable Development Goal 6 through improved water service delivery and quality via disinfection.
The speakers will discuss the current state of water quality and treatment worldwide and provide case studies of UV applications, successes and challenges in practice, as well as the promise of UV for future water quality improvement.
A discussion open to all webinar attendees will be held to gather perspectives on considerations for the effective use of UV technologies in low resource settings. Speakers will include Dr. Hadas Mamane, Clarissa Brocklehurst, Dr. Fermín Reygadas Robles Gil, John Lubango and Sara Beck.
